What is the ACCOR Plasma Pen and How does it work?
The ACCOR Cosmetic Corrector plasma pen is the world’s first and only low frequency (LF) plasma device for non-invasive soft-surgery, non-surgical blepharoplasty (both upper and lower eyes), dynamic skin-lifting, skin-tightening and a progressive remodelling and rejuvenation effect. This ingenious, lightweight device is a German-designed and UK-manufactured device that offers a precision-based procedure. The ACCOR Cosmetic Corrector is the 3rd generation plasma pen delivering an instant visible contraction and lifting effect giving truly stunning, natural looking results.
Is ACCOR for me?
If you are concerned about age inducing wrinkles, skin laxity, skin pigmentation (age spots) or similar issues, but wish to avoid invasive surgery, then the ACCOR may be just the treatment for you. Even though the treatment is completely non-invasive, there is still a degree of downtime whilst the treated area heals, and skin rejuvenates.
Does it hurt?
Before the procedure is carried out, a topical anaesthetic is applied to numb the area, so that it is practically painless
How many treatments will i require?
For skin tightening treatments this will depend on the level of skin laxity being addressed. For some just one treatment will achieve their desired outcome and for others it could take up to 3. Additional treatments can be given 3 months after the initial treatment if further lifting or tightening is desired. The results are permanent, thus further treatments re only required as the aging process progresses.
How soon will i see results?
The procedure achieves incredible results immediately, although the results continue for up to 3 months after the treatment. The results are permanent, only diminishing with the natural ageing process. There may be slight redness and swelling in the treated area and very small scabs will form which will naturally fall off between 4 to 14 days.

An Accor Cosmetic Corrector treatment is non-invasive and is much, much gentler than an operation. But it is still a procedure so there may be minimal swelling for about two days. The procedure leaves tiny scabs which drop off after 4-10 days. When the scab falls off it may leave a little red mark which usually disappears after a week, although it can take longer in slow healers.
Do not worry about scarring either. The plasma pen only treats the epidermis – not the dermis (that causes scarring). When applied the heat is 42 degrees, which is hot enough to contract the skin but not hot enough to burn or scar.
You will be provided with an Aftercare leaflet but it is important not to rub or scratch the scabs off! They need to drop off on their own. You should not use a sauna, play sport or do anything that makes you sweat whilst the scabs are present.
You will also need to clean the treated area with water only and use a sun cream of SPF 50 on the treated area for 3 months.
