Massage will benefit your mental health
Having a massage helps stimulate the body’s natural production of endorphins. Endorphins help the body to relieve stress and help give us a sense of well-being. Having a massage can help us relieve any emotional stress we are carrying which may be a reason we feel tense in our shoulders or lower back. Being in a deep relaxation decreases the effect of stress on the body and mind.
There are many different types of massage including a normal Swedish massage to a Thai massage with tiger balm, these are the types of massage we offer:
Swedish Massage:
Swedish massage targets mild pain and is for a more physical and mental relaxation. This massage uses a range of movements including kneading, tapping, and rolling to put you into deep relaxation and to energize the body to improve overall health. Did you know that the Swedish massage was invented by a man called doctor Johann Georg Mezger in 1868 however it is credited that Per Henrick Ling had invented the Swedish massage but it is very common for a historical mix up.
Aromatherapy Massage:
Aromatherapy massage includes a range of essential oils to produce a beautiful aroma to aid us into deep relaxation whilst using rubbing and kneading motions for a sense of healing.
Hot Stone Massage:
The main purpose of a hot stone massage is that the heat aids deeper pressure and it helps ease any muscle pain you are carrying. The warm stones are made from basalt which contain a large amount of iron to help retain the warmth for much longer. Did you know that basalt stones are good at increasing our blood flow and clears out any toxins relieving any muscle tension to our body.
Indian Head massage:
An Indian head massage helps benefit any stress or mental health as it releases tension from the neck to the head, also helping to relieve migraines. This massage will improve your concentration whilst promoting hair growth using oils or without.
Thai Massage:
There are two different types of Thai massage. One is oil based and more of a relaxing massage and the other is a fully clothed, dry massage and more yoga based. These massages focus more on pressure points and knotty areas whilst relieving stress and tension.
